Who are we?
We are a community of like-minded citizens of Chaffee County, Colorado who are putting together our ideas, skills, talents, and resources to prepare in the event of a crisis or emergency situation.

The main area we are reaching out to in order to educate and work together is our home of Buena Vista, Colorado.

The possibility of isolation in our mountain community has become more real with the events in recent times. We are not radical alarmists or conspiracy theorists.
Yet we do want to be prepared if we were to be isolated during a short or long-term crisis, disaster, or emergency situation. We already see empty store shelves due to supply chain issues and delayed deliveries such as; food, medicines, and many other supplies we depend on to live our daily lives. Chaffee County does not have a plan together to take care of the citizens in a crisis other than for an evacuation like in the case of a fire. So we have taken the responsibility to create this plan. But we need your help, so together we can get through whatever situation comes our way. Each one doing a little just may be the answer to survival in an emergency situation. That way we can remain, "BV STRONG"! |
Who is Involved?
We have been reaching out to all churches and community organizations in Buena Vista. Several are already involved.

Together prepare for an emergency in the following areas: Communication Food Storage Food Supplies (gardening, animals, etc) Shelter for displaced people What to do in the event of a power outage Alternative options in an emergency situation |

CPR is a work in progress and runs solely by volunteers. The hope for the website is to be a resource for the BV community. The plan is to have educational resources so that we can all learn from one another. We do have a "hands on" approach.
